How are projects organised in Projects Toolkit?
Any number of projects can be added but first a customer record must be created.
Once you have a customer record you right clcik it in the tree and select Add Project
from the context menu. Once a project is created other items such as stages and
meetings can be created against it.

Why use Projects Toolkit?
There are two ways to create and store documents in Projects Toolkit. You can either
use the internal document editor to create the documents, these will then be stored
in the database as rich text documents. Alternatively, if you have MS Word 2003
installed you can use this to create documents. If documents are created using Word
only a link to the Word document file is stored in the database
You must make sure that you first set up user access, if you have a single user
system then all you need to do is add your name in the System Options dialog. If
you have a multi user system then you whould set up all your users and groups. You
should then set up codes, block text, distribution lists and finally your contacts.
Once all these have been entered you are ready to start entering customers and projects.
Yes, Projects Toolkit is designed to work with MS Office 2003 although it should
work with later versions of MS Office it has not been tested at this time.
To enable you to keep control of the many PRINCE2 documents which you need to produce
throughout the project. Projects Toolkit makes it easy to create and maintain these
documents giving direct access to the latest document version.
Projects Toolkit is designed as a Windows client server application. The client
runs on MS Windows XP and connects to a SQL Server database.
Projects Toolkit is designed to run on MS Windows XP Pro, however, it may run on
other versions of Windows but has not been tested on these.

Yes, once you have set up your templates just use the add function in the templates
section of Projects Toolkit to add them into the database, these can then be used
to create Projects Toolkit documents.
How many users can I have using Projects Toolkit?
If you have a single user license then you will not be able to add users and groups
and you will not be required to log on. If you have a multi-user system you can
create as many users and groups as you like but you will only be permitted to log
in as many users as you have a license for.
Yes, in a multi-user system Projects Toolkit allows a supervisor to set permissions
on users and groups for access to menu items or stop specific users and groups from
updating. For example, you can create a user group which has read only access or
you could create a user that can only update the issue log.
