- Managed the 18 month
implementation of a 100 user healthcare HR system for Lothian University Hospitals
from inception to support handover. The intranet solutions where rolled out to over
2000 managers in 14 sites. Major customisation was carried out during all phases
requiring specifiaction writing and customer approvals. The original budget for
the project was £150,000. The project team consisted of approximately 10 internal
personnel made up of project consultants, trainers and technical consultants. Subsequent
benefits of the system were a redeployment of staff to form a new recruitment cell
and a reduction in HR resources needed to maintain personal records, making an annual
wages bill saving of approximately £100,000. The Scotish National Executive has
since attended demonstrations and briefings about the project with a view to rolling
out as a national system.
- Project managed a multi site HR system for Wrexham Borough Council. The system underwent
considerable customisation and the project spanned a period of two years. The original
budget for the system was £120,000. After commissioning new change requests to the
value of £60,000 were received to allow for interfacing to payroll and a schools
record system. A team of 5 technical consultants, 2 HR consultants and 2 trainers
were employed on the project which was completed on time and to budget. The major
benefit to them was a single point of entry of data which previously would have
been keyed into as many as 3 other systems.

implementation of a HR system for Lanarkshire NHS Trust. The system was made up
of the Personnel, Recruitment and Training modules and was to interface to their

and change management was a major task during the development of the system.
