Family Diary - Windows Phone 7 Client

Pre-requesites

The Family Diary Service must be running on a remote server for this client to connect to. Push notifications are implemented using the Microsoft Push Servers which may not always be available for the phone to use.

Installation Instructions

This application must be installed to your Windows Phone from the Windows Phone Marketplace. Go to the Marketplace and search in Apps for Family Diary.

The Windows Phone 7 application gives access to your Family Diary database over the phone network. It will show a list of all appointments for the current day. Flicking to the left will go to the previous day and flicking to the right will go to the next day. There is also the ability to go to a required day by tapping and holding the date and selecting the day you want to move to.

You have the ability to add, edit and remove appointments as well as add new members and contacts. Members and Contacts have the ability to add a photograph using the phone's camera or picture gallary.

The Family Diary for Windows Phone 7 application uses the Microsoft push service to alert you of any changes made to appointments in the database. This means that other clients making changes will automatically alert your phone when the changes are made.
